Crabapple Middle School opened its doors in 1983. In 1988 it became a National School of Excellence and a Georgia School of Excellence. In 2003 CMS was recognized as one of the first Georgia Lighthouse Schools to Watch for excellence in middle level education.

Helen Ruffin Reading Bowl team won first place at the Fulton County Reading Bowl competition.

8th grade chorus earned superior ratings for their stage performance and sight singing skills at Large Group Performance Evaluation.

Interact Club

 Donated a Peace Pole to the Serenity Garden at Roswell Area Park

Donated 300+ new toys to the annual NFCC Holiday Shoppe. We worked with the Student Council and No Place for Hate.

Hosted the Be The Voice program

Built 18 bat boxes (and sold 14 of them) to encourage bats to come and live/eat in Roswell so our mosquito population will decrease naturally. Donated 2 BB to the Roswell Area Park and CMS

 

The CMS Health and PE Department received the Governor's SHAPE Award from the Georgia Department of Health for the past 3 years.

The Reading Bowl Team came in first place in the county competition.
